LUZON LODGE NO. 57
Masonic District NCR-C under the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines
Worshipful Master's corner
It is my pleasure to congratulate Masonic District NCR-C under the leadership of VW J. Ermin Ernest Louie R. Miguel District Deputy Grand Master for NCR-C and the District Officers as well for the innovative hosting of the Special Multi-District Convention of NCR at Puerto, Princesa Palawan.
This important event will officially pave the way for the nomination of NCR’s nominees for the position of Junior Grand Warden. Thus, it is just befitting that the brethren of NCR are fully encouraged to participate in this momentous occasion. The holding of the SMDC in Palawan is a unique way that will certainly result to maximum participation of the brethren of Masonic District NCR.
To the brethren and voting delegates of NCR, the SMDC signifies our readiness to the great trust and responsibility that our respective lodges placed on us that is to make a wise decision in choosing our District’s Nominees. Let us exercise the same like a sacred promise in accordance with our obligation so that at the end of this Masonic term, we can sit back and have the satisfaction to say “we have done a great job”.
Mabuhay ang Masonic District NCR!

MW Antonio Gonzalez, Sr
Past Grand Master of Masons in the Philippines in 1932 and considered as Father of Philippine York Rite Masonry.
Bro. Tony was initiated, passed, and raised in Luzon Lodge No.57 .He was responsible for organizing Luz Oceanica Lodge No. 85. When this Lodge became “weak,” he was instrumental in having it merged with Island Lodge No.5 and Minerva Lodge No. 14. The merged Lodges became Island-Luz-Minerva Lodge No.5.
He was an Honorary Member of 32 subordinate Lodges! Can you beat that?
He had another distinction: the only Mason in this jurisdiction to decline his election to the Grand Oriental Chair. When he was re-elected in 1932, he accepted, but at 37 years of age he was still the youngest Grand Master ever of the Grand Lodge of the Philippines. In 1939, he was elected as Grand Secretary and held that position up to 1954.
